This 13+ week contract offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative healthcare team in a fast-paced acute care setting, providing clinical pharmacy services and supporting safe, effective medication therapy for hospitalized patients.
Responsibilities
- Verify and review medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians.
- Consult with physicians and other healthcare providers on medication therapy.
- Perform pharmacokinetic dosing and therapeutic drug monitoring.
- Prepare and verify oncology and chemotherapy medications in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients for drug interactions, adverse effects, and medication safety.
- Document pharmacy interventions and maintain accurate patient records.
- Utilize EPIC and Pyxis to support medication management and dispensing.
Work Hours
- Full-time contract
- ASAP start
- 13+ week assignment
- Variable day and afternoon shifts
Experience
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required.
- Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required.
- EPIC experience is required.
- Experience with oncology and chemotherapy medications is required.
- Experience with pharmacokinetics and clinical dosing preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Education
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license in good standing.
