Two pharmacist positions are currently available at a specialized rehabilitation hospital in Omaha, NE, offering a unique opportunity to work in a focused clinical setting. This contract role calls for adaptable, knowledgeable pharmacists ready to manage complex medication regimens primarily involving TPNs and IV antibiotics in a rehab environment, with no emergency room or obstetrics services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and verifying medication orders with a focus on TPNs and intravenous antibiotics
  • Supporting the rehabilitation unit by ensuring accurate and timely pharmaceutical care for patients undergoing therapy up to three hours per shift
  • Collaborating closely with healthcare teams to optimize medication use and patient outcomes
  • Utilizing the Altera Sunrise system for documentation and medication management, with training provided if needed

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Nebraska pharmacist license required
  • Previous experience in hospital pharmacy preferred, especially with TPNs and IV antibiotic protocols
  • Ability to quickly integrate and contribute within a specialized rehabilitation hospital setting
  • Competence in using electronic pharmacy systems; willingness to learn Altera Sunrise is essential
  • Strong communication and organizational skills for effective multidisciplinary collaboration

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday regular shifts
  • Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with a rotating weekend schedule
