Job Description
Step into an engaging contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students in a dynamic academic setting near Fremont, CA. This full-time, onsite position spans the upcoming school year, beginning August 13th and concluding June 11th. You’ll work collaboratively within a dedicated team to deliver high-quality speech, language, and hearing services, fostering student success and growth.
Qualifications:
- Active California Speech-Language Pathology license
- Valid Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential or equivalent California credential authorizing language, speech, and hearing services
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to student care
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to create and implement effective therapy strategies
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of student progress and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and professional development as needed
- Provide direct therapy and consultative support within school hours, exclusively onsite (no teletherapy options)
- Develop materials and activities to foster student engagement and achievement
