School Speech Language Pathologist - Independence, Missouri

Make an impact supporting students’ communication needs in a rewarding full-time onsite role, accessible for both local and travel Speech-Language Pathologists. In this contract position, your expertise will help create a positive learning environment for children and adolescents as you lead assessments, develop individualized plans, and provide direct speech and language services within the school setting near Independence, MO.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows considered
• School-based experience or strong clinical background supporting children and adolescents
• Proficient in designing and implementing IEPs and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive student speech, language, and communication evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized therapy goals as part of IEPs
• Provide direct and consultative services to students individually and in groups
• Work collaboratively with educators, families, and other service providers to optimize student outcomes
• Maintain accurate records and document student progress in accordance with district and federal guidelines
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
