Job Description
Step into a part-time, contract opportunity impacting the lives of middle school students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. This onsite role offers a manageable caseload of about 20 students at a well-supported middle school, with a consistent schedule allowing meaningful connections and support for student growth.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Rhode Island SLP license
- Current RIDE (Rhode Island Department of Education) certification
- Experience in school settings preferred
- SLPAs are not eligible for this position
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students, developing individualized education plans (IEPs) where needed
- Deliver evidence-based interventions and therapy to students with a range of communication disorders
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional input on language development and communication goals
This position begins August 26, 2026, and extends through June 11, 2027. The weekly schedule is two days onsite (8:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.), giving you the chance to balance your professional responsibilities with personal commitments.
