Pure Power is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and produce construction documents for utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects of 50 MW and larger. Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Design and engineer utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects 50 MW or larger, including the associated electrical power systems. \n
- Develop detailed electrical engineering designs including: \n
- Overall system layouts
\n- Equipment selection and technical specifications
\n- Single-line and three-line diagrams
\n- Medium-voltage AC and DC cable sizing and routing
\n- SCADA and communication system design
\n- Grounding system design
\n- Protection, control, and wiring diagrams
\n- Underground collection system and trench layouts
\n- \n
- Perform engineering calculations including voltage drop, cable ampacity, conduit fill, grounding, fault current, equipment loading, and other analyses required to support design decisions. \n
- Prepare complete construction drawing packages using AutoCAD. \n
- Coordinate engineering activities with clients, utilities, permitting agencies, contractors, equipment manufacturers, and external engineering consultants. \n
- Support projects through construction by responding to Requests for Information (RFIs), reviewing equipment submittals, evaluating field issues, and performing site visits as required. \n
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while consistently meeting project schedules and deliverable commitments. \n
- Break down complex engineering problems into practical, efficient design solutions and support the technical development of project team members. \n
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, industry standards, client requirements, and company quality procedures. \n
- Maintain compliance with company safety policies and applicable industry and regulatory standards. \n
- Participate in internal design reviews and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes. \n
- Perform other duties as assigned. \n
