Job Description
Step into a fulfilling Speech-Language Pathology contract opportunity supporting students’ communication and academic success in a vibrant educational environment near Redwood City, CA. This onsite position spans from mid-August through early June, providing continuity for students and a rewarding school-year experience for you.
Your knowledge will make an immediate impact as you work alongside dedicated educators, performing direct therapy services, evaluations, and collaborating with stakeholders. This role is fully onsite, offering the chance to form strong, in-person connections with students and staff.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Possess current California Speech-Language Pathology licensure.
- Have a valid Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential authorizing services in Language, Speech, & Hearing, or a California credential authorizing services as a Language/Speech and Hearing Specialist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required.
- Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred; strong new graduates with required credentials are welcome.
- Skilled in assessments, IEP documentation, and implementation of therapeutic interventions.
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and provide individual or group therapy to students with speech and language needs.
- Develop targeted treatment plans and maintain timely documentation.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to advance student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to interdisciplinary teams.
- Maintain compliance with state and district procedures and requirements.
