A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to cover upcoming maternity leaves, beginning this September. This on-site position focuses on early childhood caseloads and is perfect for professionals passionate about fostering communication skills in young learners with complex needs.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid MI SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Demonstrated experience in early childhood speech/language and multidisciplinary evaluations
  • Previous pediatric or school-based SLP experience highly valued
  • Skilled in delivering speech and language therapy to PreK students, including those with multifaceted developmental profiles
  • Comfortable collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Ability to work effectively onsite in an early childhood setting

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech/language and multidisciplinary evaluations for early childhood (PreK) students, addressing complex and diverse needs
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address speech, language, and communication goals
  • Participate in eligibility meetings and contribute to IEP development
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure cohesive intervention strategies
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting approaches as necessary
  • Deliver all services onsite in a supportive, professional environment
