A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to cover upcoming maternity leaves, beginning this September. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid MI SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Demonstrated experience in early childhood speech/language and multidisciplinary evaluations
- Previous pediatric or school-based SLP experience highly valued
- Skilled in delivering speech and language therapy to PreK students, including those with multifaceted developmental profiles
- Comfortable collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively onsite in an early childhood setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech/language and multidisciplinary evaluations for early childhood (PreK) students, addressing complex and diverse needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address speech, language, and communication goals
- Participate in eligibility meetings and contribute to IEP development
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure cohesive intervention strategies
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting approaches as necessary
- Deliver all services onsite in a supportive, professional environment
