This opportunity seeks an experienced IV/Chemo Pharmacy Technician to support oncology infusion services at a respected cancer specialist center in Canton, GA. This 13-week contract provides Monday through Friday daytime hours (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM), delivering critical pharmacy support in an outpatient oncology infusion environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer chemotherapy and select hematology treatments within an outpatient infusion center.
  • Perform IV startups and access implanted ports safely and competently.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate, compliant medication handling in a hospital-inpatient pharmacy setting.
  • Maintain proper documentation and follow protocols for oncology pharmacy operations.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in oncology or infusion pharmacy technician roles.
  • IV and chemotherapy certification required.
  • Valid Georgia pharmacy technician license.
  • Proficiency in hospital inpatient pharmacy and infusion center pharmacy practices.
  • Strong knowledge of outpatient oncology treatment protocols; blood transfusions not required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Location: Canton, Georgia (local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered for this position)
