Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Connecticut
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Ability to adapt intervention plans to meet the needs of students from kindergarten through high school
- Organized, proactive, and passionate about student-centered care
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ functional abilities and needs within the school environment
- Develop and implement individualized, goal-driven therapeutic interventions
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy strategies as needed
- Consult with teachers and families to support student success both in and out of the classroom
- Document evaluations, progress reports, and therapy sessions in compliance with school and state guidelines
Position Details:
- Contract assignment starting August 26th and running through November 16th, 2026, with the possibility of extension
- Monday through Friday schedule, working 6.5 hours per day (excluding lunch break)
- Manage a diverse K-12 caseload, fostering growth and learning for students of varying abilities
