Key Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Connecticut
  • Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
  • Ability to adapt intervention plans to meet the needs of students from kindergarten through high school
  • Organized, proactive, and passionate about student-centered care

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate students’ functional abilities and needs within the school environment
  • Develop and implement individualized, goal-driven therapeutic interventions
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy strategies as needed
  • Consult with teachers and families to support student success both in and out of the classroom
  • Document evaluations, progress reports, and therapy sessions in compliance with school and state guidelines

Position Details:

  • Contract assignment starting August 26th and running through November 16th, 2026, with the possibility of extension
  • Monday through Friday schedule, working 6.5 hours per day (excluding lunch break)
  • Manage a diverse K-12 caseload, fostering growth and learning for students of varying abilities
