Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join our growing law firm and manage cases from inception through resolution. Responsibilities
Manage civil litigation matters from intake through settlement, trial, or resolution.
Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.
Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, subpoenas, memoranda, and other legal documents.
Represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
Evaluate potential claims and provide legal advice to prospective and existing clients.
Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and other parties throughout the litigation process.
Gather and analyze evidence, including medical records, insurance policies, and other case-related documentation.
Negotiate settlements and advocate for favorable client outcomes.
Maintain organized case files and ensure accurate documentation within the firm's case management system.
Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to provide exceptional client service.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active membership in good standing with the applicable State Bar.
Experience handling civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
Excellent communication, organizational, and case management abilities.
Proficiency with legal technology and case management software.
Ability to independently manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
