Our organization is in search of a Board Certified/Board Eligible OBGYN to become a part of our OB Hospitalist team in Des Moines, IA. Opportunity Details
  • 84 shifts per year, each lasting 24 hours
  • Flexible scheduling options
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Care for OBED patients and unassigned emergency cases (including vaginal deliveries and C-sections)
  • Approximately 1,400 OBED visits annually, with one-third resulting in deliveries
  • Access to subspecialists, including Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM)
  • Home to Iowa's only maternal transport team
  • Adjunct faculty position in Family Medicine Residency

Our facility is a 622-bed Level II Trauma center that has been serving the community since 1893. With an average of 3,000 deliveries each year, we feature a 44-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), an 8-bed OB Emergency Department, 15 labor suites, and 40 postpartum recovery rooms.
