Social Worker/Therapist (Accepting Associate/Provisional License)
Location: Chapel, NC
Schedule: Full-Time, Mon-Fri (8 am-4:30 pm)
Position Summary:
The Therapist provides individual and group therapy sessions for clients in an Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) mental health facility. Therapists assess the therapeutic needs of clients, develop appropriate treatment plans, and facilitate group, family, and individual therapy sessions. Position collaborates with clients, team members, external clinical partners, and family members, as appropriate, to coordinate care throughout the treatment process.
Responsibilities:
•Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
•Provide weekly individual therapy and facilitate DBT-informed group therapy sessions.
•Utilize evidence-based interventions tailored to each resident's clinical needs.
•Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team on care coordination and discharge planning.
•Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and treatment updates.
•Communicate effectively with families, referral sources, and community providers.
•Support residents using trauma-informed care, therapeutic boundaries, and crisis intervention techniques.
•Foster a respectful, inclusive, and affirming environment for adults from diverse backgrounds.
Requirements:
•Position requires a master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or psychology.
•Must hold an LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, or equivalent provisional licensure, in good standing, within the state of North Carolina.
•Position requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience in PHP, IOP, or a residential setting.
