We proudly employ over 4000+ people - no matter what your experience, we have jobs for everyone.We'd like you to join us as a Support Worker at our service, Granville Lodge, in Hartlepool.We have an amazing opportunity for Support Workers to join our caring and support team at our Granville Lodge service in Hartlepool, supportingchildren and young people who cannot be cared for at home, most commonly because they need a high level of skilled care.A full clean driving licence and willingness to transport our children and young people in the company minibus would be an advantage but not essential.We believe Granville Lodge is a special place. It is purposely small, just nine beds, and is located in an adapted Victorian house in a quiet residential street in Hartlepool. Whilst the children staying with us have clinical needs, we have taken great care to ensure our centre still feels like a family home. Children staying with us permanently can decorate their own rooms, just as they can at home, and we encourage our young people, wherever possible, to be part of the running of their home and to try out new experiences.What you'll be working:37.5 hours£25,869(FTE) Per annum (Pro rata)Rostered shifts to include days, nights & weekends.What you'll be doing:Keeping the childs safety and well-being paramount and at the centre of your practiceBuild positive relationships with our children and young people, which are open and two-waySupport our children and young people to make progress in every area of their livesContribute towards the planning and delivery of child-centred care plans, working alongside all other agencies involved with the childMaintain accurate recordsEstablish methods of communication with our children and young people, reducing barriers when necessaryAssist with mealtimes where necessarySupport with activities of daily living and personal careWhat you'll have:Driving licence and Diploma Level 3 (CYP) desirable.A genuine interest in providing the best person-centred care possible for our young peopleThe ability to communicate effectively at all levelsExperience working within the care sector/learning disabilities would be an advantage but not essentialSuccessful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBSWe also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions.
