Corporate Associate, 2–4 PQE, £58,000–£75,000, Leading Firm, Leeds\n
\n A corporate role with a genuine breadth of work streams. At larger firms a corporate lawyer at this stage often gets locked into a single seam and stays there; here M&A forms the core, but you'd also pick up private equity, restructures and broader corporate advisory work. That's the difference between a well-rounded practice and a narrow one.\n

\n Deals typically run from £5m to £100m+, domestic and cross-border, acting for owner-managed businesses, SMEs and large corporates across a wide spread of sectors.\n
\n
\n You'd run your own smaller matters, with supervision where it's needed, while supporting partners and legal directors on the larger transactions - real files of your own from early on rather than a permanent second-chair role.\n
\n
\n Because the team is recruiting across three levels simultaneously, progression isn't a queue behind someone who isn't going anywhere. The structure above you is being built, not defended.\n
