This is a fantastic opportunity to join Marshall Land Systems (https://marshalladg.com/) and their team of Electricians , manufacturing and installing electrical circuits and communication systems into mobile workspaces and various electrical products and equipment based at their new site in Merthyr Tydfil (postcode is CF48 4DR). Initially this is a contract role with a strong possibility of becoming permanent with Marshall Land.40 hours a weekThe role is responsible for the installation of cabling, wiring, and electro-mechanical components into deployable shelters, under the supervision of Red Seal Industrial Electrician.Duties:Assemble and install electrical components into deployable shelters using engineering drawings and associated design dataRead schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work proceduresOperate standard equipment including but not limited to various testing toolsAssemble and install component pieces using hand and power toolsAdhere to all Health and Safety, and Quality policies and proceduresParticipate in the creation of job instructions, operating proceduresParticipate in continuous improvement activitiesOther duties as assigned by the Supervisor – Components & AssemblyEmployment Requirements:Essential:Qualification in 18th edition essentialPrior Electrical Installation experienceMinimum three years' experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAvailable to work overtime as requiredDesirable:NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar disciplineCity & Guilds 2365 Level 2/3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Building & Structures, or equivalent electrical qualification)Understanding of lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kanban and SMED preferredKnowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Excel/Word, OutlookAbout Marshall Land SyttemsBased in the UK, with operations in Canada, Marshall Land Systems specialises in the design and production of deployable operational infrastructure and mission support for humanitarian, defence and security operations across the globe.
