Procurement & Stores CoordinatorProcurement | Materials Coordination | Stores | Systems ImprovementAbout Rayden Engineering Limited: Rayden Engineering Ltd is a Mechanical & Civil Engineering Company, based in the East Midlands of England; and specialising in the pre-fabrication, welding and installation of pipework systems of a wide variety of alloys.We are also involved in the installation of: Cross-country Pipelines and Pipeline Diversions (up to 42) and Above Ground Installations (AGIs). We are currently executing major contracts nationwide for major oil & gas companies that include AGIs, pipelines and major civil works.Procurement plays a vital role in keeping these projects moving. The right materials, plant, suppliers and information need to be in the right place at the right time and this role helps make that happen.The Opportunity: We are looking for a Procurement & Stores Coordinator to join our growing procurement function. This is not simply an administration role or a purchase order processing position. It is a varied, hands-on support role for someone who enjoys organisation, communication, problem solving and improving how things work.Working closely with the Senior Buyer, you will support procurement, supplier management, materials coordination, stores integration, stock control, plant coordination, data management and procurement systems.No two days will be the same. One day you may be tracking urgent project materials from enquiry through to site delivery; the next you may be improving a tracker, supporting stores accuracy, updating ERP data or helping build better procurement processes.What Youll Be Doing: You will support the procurement and stores function across live projects, workshop activity and day-to-day business operations. Key areas will include:Procurement & Supplier Support: Raise and manage purchase orders accurately and on time.Obtain supplier quotations and support comparison of price, availability and lead time.Expedite deliveries and keep project teams informed of progress.Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries, confirm dates and maintain reliable information.Support supplier performance monitoring and maintain procurement documentation.Materials, Stores & Stock Coordination: Track materials from enquiry and order stage through to delivery on site.Coordinate closely with stores to support goods receipt, stock visibility and material allocation.Assist with stock accuracy, replenishment requirements and inventory control.Support plant, equipment and asset movements across projects and locations.Help connect purchasing activity with stores processes so information is accurate and easy to use.Data, Reporting & Systems: Maintain live procurement trackers and keep information current.Update ERP systems with accurate purchasing, supplier, stock and project data.Support procurement reporting, spend visibility and operational dashboards.Identify gaps, duplicated effort or inefficient processes and help improve them.Support the development of better procurement, stores and materials control systemsSkills & Experience Were Looking For: We are looking for someone who is organised, curious and comfortable using technology to make work easier, faster and more accurate.Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data, trackers and reports.Experience using ERP, stock control, procurement or business management systems.Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise changing demands.Clear communication skills with suppliers, colleagues and project teams.A practical, proactive approach and a desire to improve processes.Comfortable learning new systems and using technology to solve problems.Who This Role Will Suit: This role could suit someone already working in procurement, purchasing, stores, materials control, supply chain or plant coordination who wants more variety and progression.Assistant Buyer, Buyer or Purchasing AdministratorStores Coordinator, Materials Controller or Supply Chain AdministratorPlant Coordinator or plant hire professionalSomeone from a builders merchant, civils merchant, engineering distributor or industrial supplierA motivated candidate from construction, engineering, utilities, infrastructure or manufacturing supply chainsYou do not need to know everything on day one.
