Head of IT Project Delivery

Are you an experienced Head of IT Project Delivery, looking for your next challenge?We're looking for a driven and influential IT Projects Leader to lead a portfolio of strategic technology projects, overseeing delivery from concept through to successful implementation.This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll shape project delivery standards, lead a team of experienced IT Project Managers and Testing specialists, and work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure critical technology change is delivered on time, on budget with lasting business value.What You'll Be DoingLeading and developing a team of IT Project Managers and senior testing professionalsOwning the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of IT projectsDriving project governance, methodology, standards, and reportingPartnering with Executive and Senior Leadership Teams to ensure priorities are aligned and risks are managedOverseeing project budgets of circa £5mBuilding strong relationships across Architecture, Operations, PMO, Business Analysis and third-party suppliersEnsuring projects are effectively initiated, planned, governed and transitioned into live serviceCreating a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, continuous improvement and delivery excellenceActing as the key escalation point for project challenges, ensuring issues are addressed before they impact deliveryWhat We're Looking ForYou'll be a confident technology delivery leader with a proven track record of managing complex portfolios and leading successful project teams.We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:Experience managing a diverse portfolio of IT projects and delivering large-scale technology changeLeadership experience managing Project Managers and delivery teamsStrong stakeholder management skills, including engagement at executive levelExpertise in project governance, portfolio reporting, risk management and change controlThe ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery leadershipExperience working with third-party suppliers and delivery partnersPRINCE2 Practitioner certification (or equivalent)Why Join?This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role within a technology function that is investing heavily in change and transformation.
