Be part of a fast-growing care organisation with strong long-term progression opportunities.Lead the launch of a significant new care home development with full autonomy to shape the service from the very beginning.Strong operational, commissioning, recruitment and quality support throughout the entire journey.Build your own high-performing team while establishing the culture, standards and reputation of the home.Take ownership of occupancy growth, financial performance and long-term commercial success.Contract Salary up to £85,000 per annumUp to 40% annual bonus linked to KPI achievementGenerous commissioning bonusPension scheme5.6 weeks annual leaveThe OpportunityThis role offers full site ownership throughout the commissioning process and requires an experienced leader who understands what it takes to successfully launch a new care home while building a service designed for long-term success.You will lead all aspects of pre-opening activity including recruitment strategy, onboarding, operational setup, regulatory preparation, local stakeholder engagement and occupancy planning while ensuring the home launches successfully and is positioned as a leading provider within the local market.From building a values-driven team and embedding company culture through to preparing for CQC registration and establishing strong local reputation, you will take ownership of every stage of the journey.Key Responsibilities Lead all commissioning activity prior to opening including recruitment, onboarding, mobilisation and workforce planning.Build and develop a high-performing team while ensuring minimal reliance on agency staffing.Drive occupancy growth through local networking, relationship building and establishing strong referral routes.Implement operational systems, governance frameworks and quality standards ahead of opening.Prepare the home for successful CQC registration and inspection readiness.Manage budgets, occupancy targets and overall financial performance in line with business expectations.Build strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, local authorities and community stakeholders.Position Colden Common Care Home as a market-leading provider within the local area.What You'll Bring Minimum 4 years management experience within elderly care services.Previous experience managing a comparable residential or nursing service, ideally 50+ beds.Previous commissioning experience within a new build care home environment is highly desirable.Registered Manager experience within adult social care.Nurse qualification (RGN/RMN preferred).Strong track record achieving Good or Outstanding CQC ratings.Strong commercial awareness with understanding of occupancy growth, budget management and financial performance.Proven leadership experience building, developing and retaining high-performing teams.Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and inspection readiness.Level 5 qualification or equivalent management experience.This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced leader who enjoys building something from the ground up while taking full ownership of a premium care home launch.You will be trusted to shape the culture, establish the reputation, build the team and drive both quality and commercial success from the earliest stages of commissioning through to long-term operational performance.About UsColden Common Care Home is part of Care Concern Group, a family owned, market leading care provider with a strong and growing presence across the United Kingdom.
