Job Title: Senior Quality ControllerLocation: RenfrewshirePackaging: CompetitiveAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Quality Controller to support and drive quality performance across our manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on, shop-floor-focused role responsible for ensuring quality standards are embedded throughout production, with a strong focus on right-first-time performance, process control, waste reduction, and preventing quality issues before they reach the customer.You will be a key role model for quality standards, ensuring that quality remains at the heart of every decision and that products consistently meet internal and customer expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure high standards of product quality are maintained throughout the manufacturing process, meeting both internal requirements and customer expectationsAct as a visible presence within the production environment, supporting teams to achieve consistent quality and first-time-right resultsReview quality performance data, identify areas for improvement, and support investigations into defects and recurring issuesComplete quality inspections, audits, and compliance checks to ensure processes remain controlled and effectivePartner with production teams to drive improvements that reduce waste, minimise rework, and improve overall efficiencySupport manufacturing changes, trials, and new product activities by assessing potential quality risks and ensuring controls are in placePromote good quality practices across the workforce through guidance, support, and effective communicationShare quality updates, improvement actions, and key issues with relevant teams and stakeholdersWhat Were Looking ForPrevious experience within a quality, manufacturing, or production-focused environmentA good understanding of quality processes, standards, specifications, and controlsExperience contributing to audits, investigations, and improvement projectsStrong analytical and problem-solving ability, with the confidence to identify issues and support effective solutionsExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence, engage, and support colleagues at all levelsComfortable reviewing quality information and using data to identify trends and opportunities for improvementA strong eye for detail with a commitment to maintaining high standardsAbility to prioritise workloads effectively and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentConfidence to challenge existing ways of working and encourage better practicesGood IT capability with experience using systems and data to monitor and improve quality performanceApply NowIf you are an experienced quality professional looking to make a real impact within a manufacturing environment, we would love to hear from you.
