They value problem-solving, process improvement, technical expertise and a proactive approach to manufacturing excellence.This is an opportunity to join a growing company where your input will directly influence production methods, efficiency improvements and future business success.About The Role:They are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter to support their relocation and continued expansion. The successful candidate will have strong programming and setting experience across a range of CNC machinery, including milling machines, lathes, mill/turn centres and sliding head machines, particularly Mazak and Star equipment.This role is ideally suited to a highly skilled machinist who enjoys taking ownership of their work, solving manufacturing challenges and driving continuous improvement. As part of a small and growing team, you will be expected to work with a high degree of independence and initiative, identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce cycle times and enhance production performance.For the right individual, this position offers a clear pathway towards a future Production Management role as the company continues to expandKey Duties:CNC programming, setting and optimisation of machining processesCNC milling, turning, mill/turn and sliding head operationsProducing high-precision components from engineering drawingsOnline and/or offline programming as requiredEditing, setting, proving-out and improving CNC programsSupporting continuous improvement initiatives and process developmentIdentifying opportunities to improve machining efficiency, quality and productivityEnsuring all components meet required quality standards and tolerancesAssisting with the establishment and development of manufacturing processes during the company relocationUndertaking additional duties as requiredCandidate Requirements:Strong CNC programming and setting experience is essentialExperience with CNC milling and CNC turningExperience of Mazak and Star machinery highly desirableCAD/CAM experience preferred, particularly Fusion 360 or SolidwORKS/SolidCAMAbility to work independently and make informed technical decisionsStrong problem-solving and process improvement mindsetExperience improving manufacturing methods, tooling strategies or cycle times would be advantageousHigh attention to detail and commitment to qualityKnowledge of imperial measurement systems beneficial but not essentialCNC operators without programming and setting experience will not be consideredPersonal Attributes:Self-motivated and proactiveComfortable working with minimal supervisionKeen to take ownership and responsibilityPositive, hands-on approachDriven to improve processes and challenge existing methodsInterested in developing into a future leadership or production management positionWhat They Offer:Opportunity to join a growing and ambitious engineering businessSignificant investment in modern CNC technologyGenuine opportunity to influence production processes and company growthProgression towards Production Management for the right candidateVaried and technically challenging work within a specialist manufacturing environmentIf you feel that you have the relative skills/attributes to fulfil this role then please apply now for immediate consideration.The employer fully supports Equality in Employment.
