Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year! This onsite position supports K-12 students in a dynamic educational setting, with a consistent, full-time schedule from August 17, 2026, through June 11, 2027. Collaborate with educators and staff to foster meaningful change and growth in the lives of students.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist licensure (OT)
- Prior experience working within K-12 school environments is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP process and the ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet diverse student needs
- Commitment to supporting student independence and educational success
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting evaluations and delivering occupational therapy interventions for K-12 students onsite
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring IEP goals related to occupational therapy
- Collaborating closely with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to create supportive learning environments
- Documenting student progress and participating in related meetings as required
- Consulting with school staff and families to integrate therapy strategies into classroom routines
- Supporting students in attaining their highest level of functional participation in school activities
