Operating Room Technician in Strongsville, OH

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a vital surgical role supporting high-quality patient care within a modern, well-equipped operating environment. This contract assignment gives you an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise as a Certified Surgical Technologist (ORT) for a period of 13 weeks. You'll primarily be based in a seven-room inpatient/outpatient surgical unit, with potential to float within your skill set if needs arise across two dynamic operating departments.

Schedule:

• 5x8 hour shifts, Mids: 11:45am–7:45pm

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (ORT)
• Active, valid BLS certification
• Demonstrated experience supporting ophthalmic procedures, including posterior eye surgery and eye trauma
• Proficient scrubbing with the DaVinci XI robotic platform is required
• Flexibility to float within the surgical service if needed
• Reliable, collaborative, and committed to patient safety

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and instruments for a range of surgical procedures, with a focus on eye surgeries
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team before and during procedures
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and infection control standards
• Collaborate closely with nurses, surgeons, and other support staff
• Assist with intraoperative care and post-procedure room turnovers
• Float to main OR as necessary, within skill competencies
