Per Diem Pharmacist in Ashland, OH

A Per Diem Pharmacist is needed to provide vacation coverage for a busy retail pharmacy located in Ashland, OH. This role requires flexibility to work during scheduled vacation periods as outlined below. The pharmacy operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM; however, the pharmacist is expected onsite from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM without a lunch closure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and check over 200 prescriptions daily, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Perform data entry of Rx information using PioneerRx software, managing high-volume prescription data.
• Answer incoming phone calls professionally and assist with inquiries.
• Receive, check in, and sign controlled and narcotic medication deliveries.
• Collaborate effectively with a supportive team including three full-time pharmacy technicians.
• Maintain pharmacy operations smoothly during vacation coverage periods.

Vacation Coverage Dates:

• August 10 to August 14
• September 14 to September 18
• November 25

Qualifications:

• Active and clear Ohio Pharmacist License.
• Minimum of 1 year recent retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Proficiency with pharmacy software (experience with PioneerRx is a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
