A 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity is available for a Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacist in Kennett Square, PA, specializing in bespoke pharmaceutical preparations tailored to individual patient needs. The role involves overseeing and verifying technicians’ compound preparations rather than direct hands-on compounding, requiring a solid background and experience in non-sterile compounding processes.

Responsibilities:

• Verify accuracy and compliance of compounded non-sterile preparations according to master formula worksheets.
• Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies to maintain patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure cleaning and garbing procedures align with company policies.
• Perform necessary calculations and complete all required documentation.
• Operate production equipment efficiently, following established policies.
• Confirm the correct aseptic techniques are utilized.
• Prepare work areas completely before production begins.
• Monitor computerized and technical equipment to uphold quality standards.
• Maintain the quality, purity, and potency of compounded medications.
• Conduct quality control tests and inspections for preparation accuracy.
• Stay updated on new compounding methods, formulations, and technologies.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and learning related to compounding pharmacy.

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license.
• Recent pharmacy experience.
• Proven background in non-sterile compounding.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
