Job Description
Bel-Aire Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support exceptional experiences for our clients and patients across all aspects of hospital care. This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile, skilled assistant who enjoys variety in their day and wants to fully utilize a well-rounded clinical skillset across surgery, dentistry, outpatient care, and exam room support. We are seeking dependable, motivated candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitask efficiently, anticipate team needs, and take pride in delivering exceptional support throughout every stage of the patient visit. Training is considered for the right candidate with a strong foundation and the drive to grow. In this position, you will take an active role in:\n

- Splitting time between exam room, outpatient, and surgical caseload support \n
- Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures, including patient prep, setup, and recovery \n
- Performing anesthesia induction and monitoring as directed by the veterinary team \n
- Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs \n
- Assisting with cystocentesis, IV catheter placement, IV/IM injections, and microscope evaluation \n
- Providing safe, gentle patient handling and restraint during outpatient and procedural care \n
- Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation \n
- Reviewing treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately \n
- Building positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service \n
- Maintaining clean, organized, and fully prepared exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces \n

- Compensation: $17.00-$19.00 per hour, for each hour worked \n
- This is a full-time position, with a 4 x 10 schedule, Monday-Friday. No weekends and no holidays. \n

- Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current experience \n
