Per Diem Inpatient Hospital Pharmacist in O Fallon, MO

A healthcare facility in the St. Charles area requires a Per Diem Pharmacist to provide coverage in an inpatient behavioral health setting. This role is essential for ensuring safe and effective medication management for patients during assigned shifts.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (includes a 30-minute unpaid meal break)
• Coverage dates: August 6, 7, and August 10 through 14

Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical pharmacy services within an inpatient behavioral health environment
• Accurately prepare and dispense medications according to hospital protocols
• Utilize automated systems for medication repackaging and dispensing
• Monitor and review medication orders to ensure patient safety and compliance
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize pharmacotherapy plans
• Conduct restock reports and maintain inventory control for automated dispensing machines

Qualifications:

• Valid Missouri Pharmacist license required
• Experience with Omnicell automated dispensing systems preferred
• Familiarity with repackaging medications using Milt/Medi-Dose or HCL preferred
• Basic knowledge of loading drugs into automated machines and running restock reports is desirable
• Strong clinical and hospital pharmacy background, particularly in inpatient or behavioral health settings
