School Occupational Therapist | Tolleson, Arizona

This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a supportive educational environment serving either preschoolers or K-8 students in a developmental program. With a manageable caseload of approximately 60 students and a certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA) to supervise, you’ll have the tools and collaboration to make a real difference in your students’ lives.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license
• Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
• Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to supervise and support a COTA for student-driven outcomes
• Adaptability and creativity in delivering therapeutic interventions
• Commitment to enhancing student participation and functional independence

Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to a caseload of about 60 students
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized intervention plans
• Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Supervise and mentor the assigned COTA
• Monitor student progress and maintain thorough, timely documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal-setting
• Support safe, inclusive, and engaging school environments
