Job Description
Step into a meaningful contract role supporting K-12 students as an Occupational Therapist in a vibrant educational environment near Seattle, WA. As part of a dedicated special education team, you'll manage a caseload of approximately 40 students, collaborating with staff and families to deliver individualized IEP-related interventions that foster learning and independence.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active or eligible Washington Department of Health (DOH) Occupational Therapist License (required)
- Valid or eligibility for Washington Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certificate – School Occupational Therapist (required for IEP-based services)
- Experience or strong interest in working within K-12 educational settings
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to engage with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to implement IEP goals and document progress effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, design, and implement occupational therapy plans for K–12 students aligned with educational goals
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on student assessments and IEP development
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students and staff, modifying strategies as needed
- Maintain detailed, timely documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Support students with diverse needs in achieving greater independence and classroom participation
