School Occupational Therapist - Burleson, Texas

Make an impact supporting students’ growth and development as an Occupational Therapist in a welcoming school setting. This full-time contract opportunity offers a blend of onsite (3 days) and remote (2 days) work each week, letting you foster meaningful student connections and enjoy a flexible schedule. You’ll work alongside two other experienced OTs and a supportive COTA, collaboratively serving a caseload of approximately 200 students divided among four therapy professionals. Your expertise will bring valued perspective to a dedicated, child-centered team as you help students achieve their academic and functional goals.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to a diverse student population, adapting interventions for a school environment.
• Assess student needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress toward IEP goals.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and colleagues to support each child’s success in the classroom and beyond.
• Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes in accordance with school guidelines.
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional recommendations and insightful feedback.
• Contribute to the positive, collaborative environment among therapy staff.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• Active OT license in Texas, or eligible for licensure.
• Prior experience in pediatric or school settings strongly preferred.
• Committed to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional growth.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in remote/virtual service delivery is an asset.
