Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in school settings highly preferred, knowledgeable about IEP (Individualized Education Program) processes
- Strong understanding of pediatric development and sensory processing challenges
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, educators, and families
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across grade levels and with varying student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to assess students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional abilities
- Develop and implement individualized OT intervention plans alongside teachers and special educators
- Participate actively in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Provide direct therapy sessions and consultative support to staff and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with regulatory and district standards
- Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to support student success within the classroom and beyond
