School Occupational Therapist | Denver, Colorado

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience in school settings highly preferred, knowledgeable about IEP (Individualized Education Program) processes
• Strong understanding of pediatric development and sensory processing challenges
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, educators, and families
• Flexibility and adaptability to work across grade levels and with varying student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations to assess students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional abilities
• Develop and implement individualized OT intervention plans alongside teachers and special educators
• Participate actively in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Provide direct therapy sessions and consultative support to staff and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with regulatory and district standards
• Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to support student success within the classroom and beyond
