Per Diem Pharmacist - Wooster, OH

Seeking a skilled Pharmacist to provide per diem vacation coverage at a busy retail pharmacy. This role requires a detail-oriented professional to manage high prescription volume while maintaining accuracy and efficiency within a supportive team environment.

Location: Wooster, OH
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (Pharmacy hours 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM; no lunch closure)
• Vacation coverage dates needed: August 10–14, September 14–18, and November 25

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and check over 200 prescriptions daily using PioneerRx software
• Perform data entry on a high volume of prescriptions
• Answer phone calls professionally and assist customers promptly
• Verify and sign for controlled and narcotic drug deliveries
• Collaborate with three full-time pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and operational standards

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current, valid Ohio pharmacist license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year recent retail pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with pharmacy software systems, preferably PioneerRx
• Strong attention to detail with excellent data verification skills
• Effective communication abilities and customer service orientation
