Job Description
Advance your career as an Occupational Therapist supporting students in the Las Vegas area. This contract opportunity is focused on providing in-person services to PreK through 8th-grade students across two nearby sites. You’ll play an important role in fostering student development and independence within both educational and home health settings.
This is a part-time role, offering 25-30 hours per week, with the potential to expand to a full-time schedule if needed (30 or more hours). The position begins August 3 for preparatory work, as you collaborate with school teams to set up for the year ahead. The student schedule runs from August 10 through May 31, 2027, allowing you to establish meaningful, ongoing relationships and make a sustained impact.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Nevada Occupational Therapist licensure or eligibility to secure one before starting.
- Experience delivering OT services in schools, home health, or healthcare settings (PreK-8th preferred).
- Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy best practices.
- Proficient with IEP processes and documentation.
- Confident working independently across multiple sites.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide school-based OT services, including evaluation, intervention, and progress monitoring.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other professionals.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute expertise, and maintain thorough records.
- Support transitions and provide equipment or environmental recommendations as needed.
