Position Details:

  • Contract role for the 2024-2025 school year, starting August 17 and ending June 3
  • Work weekdays, Monday through Friday
  • Typical hours: 7:55 am – 2:55 pm, aligning with the standard school day
  • Serve a diverse population of early childhood and elementary students
  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services that support students' educational goals

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current OT license valid in the state of Illinois
  • Experience working in school settings—especially with Early Childhood through 2nd grade—strongly preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including teachers, school support staff, and families
  • Strong skill set in assessment, intervention planning, and implementing IEP-driven services for children
  • COTAs are not eligible; only OTs may apply

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with students’ IEPs
  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions within classroom and pull-out settings
  • Document progress and participate in IEP meetings
  • Educate and support teachers and caregivers to facilitate student progress
  • Adapt and modify activities for full student participation
