An exciting contract opportunity awaits for a dedicated Occupational Therapist seeking to support students in an engaging school-based environment. This position centers on delivering therapy to students from early childhood through second grade, covering a diverse and impactful age range. The role is set within a welcoming educational community near Prospect Heights, IL, and runs from August 17 through June 3.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• Current licensure and credentials as an Occupational Therapist
• Hands-on experience or familiarity with school-based occupational therapy
• Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• COTAs are not eligible for this position
• Enthusiasm for working with young children (EC, K, 1, 2)
• Commitment to fostering student independence and participation

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy to students within their school setting
• Assess student needs and develop relevant, individualized therapy plans
• Document sessions, progress, and maintain necessary records
• Consult with teachers and participate in team meetings as needed
• Support students' occupational development to promote learning
• Adjust therapy plans to meet evolving student goals and needs

Position Details:

• Full-time contract, daily hours from 7:55 am to 2:55 pm
• Five days per week for the academic year (August 17–June 3)
• Caseload includes students from early childhood through second grade (exact numbers will be discussed during the hiring process)
