Porter Square Veterinary is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team! In this role, you will:\n
\n - Assist with patient preparation and recovery during surgical and dental procedures.
\n - Maintain detailed medical records to support accurate patient care.
\n - Support exam room workflow by assisting with outpatient care, patient handling, and preparing for appointments.
\n - Communicate with clients to check-in for appointments, review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address questions with empathy and clarity.
\n - Anticipate the needs of your team to maintain an efficient schedule while upholding the highest standards of patient care.

This position is ideal for Veterinary Technicians who take pride in their work, value a team where everyone - front and back - has each other's backs, and enjoy building real, lasting relationships with clients and their pets. Schedule: This is a full-time or part-time position either working 3 (PT) or 4 (FT) days per week and availability needed Monday-Saturday. Typically you'd work at least 2 Saturday shifts per month with the option to work more if preferred. Full-time benefits and compensation**:\n
\n - Compensation: $22 - 28 per hour, for each hour worked*
\n - Bonus package: $500-$2,000 based on experience and licensure
\n - CE allowance: Up to $1,000 annually based on licensure

Qualifications and skill set:\n
\n - 3+ years of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
\n - Proficiency in the following skills:\n
\n - Client communication & education
\n - Medical record keeping
\n - Patient restraint & handling
\n - Phlebotomy & IV catheter placement
\n - IV/IM/SQ injections
\n
\n - Experience in any of the following is a plus but not required:\n
\n - Anesthesia maintenance & monitoring
\n - Dental prophylaxis & radiology
\n - Cystocentesis
\n - Microscopy
