Job Description
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity seeks a Day Shift Production Pharmacy Technician for a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) facility. This direct hire role is based in Bardonia, New York, with a focus on supporting medication preparation and inventory management in a high-volume setting.
Responsibilities include preparing medications in appropriate packaging such as blister packs and unit-dose for timely delivery to LTC residents. You will assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while ensuring proper storage conditions and monitoring expiration dates. Maintaining accurate patient and medication records is essential. This position involves cross-training in both dosage preparation and toting to enhance operational flexibility.
Key details:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with rotating weekends
- Volume: Approximately 600 prescriptions processed daily
- Software: Frameworks (training provided)
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
- New York State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not required
- PTCB certification preferred but not required
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
