A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care within a rehab hospital setting. This role is ideal for professionals seeking a structured weekday schedule and exposure to an integrated hospital system using Epic and Pyxis technologies.

Location:

  • Lynn, MA

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Day shift hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Safely prepare, dispense, and distribute medications to patients in the rehab hospital
  • Accurately review prescriptions and patient medication orders for appropriateness and possible interactions
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, pharmacy laws, and regulatory requirements
  • Utilize Epic and Pyxis systems to document and manage medication dispensing and inventory

Qualifications:

  • Licensed pharmacist in Massachusetts (retail pharmacists and new graduates are encouraged to apply)
  • Familiarity or willingness to learn Epic and Pyxis medication systems
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team

This contract position offers a professional environment focused on patient-centered care and skill development in a specialized rehab hospital. The assignment is expected to start as soon as possible and continue for at least 13 weeks.
