JOB TITLE: Functioning Testing Analyst (Manual and Automated) JOB LOCATION: Syracuse, NY (Hybrid onsite once per month for meetings) WAGE RANGE*: $60-66/hr. (depending on experience) JOB NUMBER: NGGJP00017821 JOB DESCRIPTION: Functioning Testing Analyst Job Purpose The Functional Testing Analyst is responsible for comprehensive testing of our new Kraken Customer platform and its internal and external service integrations. This platform provides the company with utility customer accounting functions (billing, payments, collections), meter data management, customer relationship management, and customer interaction services. Testing will assure functional completeness, quality, accuracy, reliability, compliance, and security of the new platform. The functional testing analyst will support the application delivery team by analyzing requirements, creating detailed test cases, executing both manual and automated tests, reporting results, and facilitating resolution of identified functional defects. Through these testing activities, the functional testing analyst contributes to the delivery of robust solutions and continuous improvement of the company's core customer management services. Key Accountabilities Analyze system requirements and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases. Participate in test planning, design, and review sessions. Assist in the preparation and management of test environments and test data. Executing both manual and automated testing. Identify, document, and monitor software defects through resolution. Work closely with the Application Delivery team (Client and Kraken) to effectively communicate defects and validate corrections. Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure that established compliance, control, and service quality standards are achieved. Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, scripts, and summary reports. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to testing processes and methodologies. Ensure adherence to company policies, security standards, and regulatory compliance during all testing activities.
