Job Description
Embark on a rewarding assignment supporting young learners in a dynamic school setting! A maternity leave opportunity is available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist ready to make an impact at two elementary schools and with a private school student. This full-time contract role allows you to partner with educational teams and families, helping students reach their full potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Occupational Therapist license
- Experience providing OT services in a school environment preferred
- Ability to effectively manage a diverse caseload across multiple sites
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Organized, flexible, and able to adapt to varying school needs
Position Highlights:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students at two elementary campuses and to one private school student
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families
- Assist in the development of strategies and interventions to support students’ success
- Keep accurate documentation in accordance with state and district requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and other multidisciplinary team activities
- Full-time hours (37.5 hours per week) from November 2nd through January 29th, with possible extension through February 26th
