Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience working in schools or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively advocate for student needs
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and goal-setting for student progress
- Creative problem-solving and an adaptable approach to diverse student populations
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of students’ motor skills, sensory processing, and developmental needs within the educational environment
- Develop and deliver tailored OT interventions to support academic, social, and functional skills
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies in the classroom
- Contribute to IEP meetings by providing expert input and progress updates
- Maintain timely and accurate records, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Educate and empower staff and caregivers on strategies to enhance student engagement and participation
