Job Description
We are currently seeking safe and reliable full and part-time drivers. Owner operators and semi-retired drivers are also welcome to apply.\n

\n*RECOMMENDED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:*\n
\n
\nMinimum experience includes being a graduate of a certified professional truck driver training school and a graduate of the Lansberry Trucking Driver Finishing Program. Ideally, you would possess two verifiable years or greater of experience as a truck driver driving tri-axles or tractor-trailers (e.g. pneumatic tank, end-dump, dry van or flatbed equipment).\n
\n
\n*RESPONSIBILITIES:*\n
\n
\n· Deliver products while operating a tractor-trailer or triaxle truck over intercity or interstate routes or routes spanning multiple states;\n
\n
\n· Drive long distances and be on-duty for periods up-to the permissible FMCSA Hours of Service regulations;\n
\n
\n· Accept orders for pick-ups and deliveries using cell phones or computerized dispatching equipment;\n
\n
\n· Load and unload cargo using specific, assigned equipment (e.g. triaxle, dump trailer, pneumatic tank, etc.);\n
\n
\n· Plan routes using maps or utilize computerized GPS routing software;\n
\n
\n· Deliver products to customer on-time and safely;\n
\n
\n· Take rest periods as required by FMCSA Rules and Regulations;\n
\n
\n· Fill the truck up with fuel, clean truck and wash windows, as necessary;\n
\n
\n· Perform pre- and/or post-trip inspections of the equipment per FMCSA Rules and Regulations and record any defects they find;\n
\n
\n· Report any serious safety or mechanical problems with the equipment to the maintenance department immediately;\n
\n
\n· Maintain assigned equipment is clean and good working order;\n
\n
\n· Report to dispatcher any incidents encountered on the route that may interfere with the timely delivery of the product;\n
\n
\n· Monitor weather conditions and traffic congestion and report to dispatcher any issues that may interfere with the timely delivery of the product;\n
\n
\n· Follow accident procedures should an accident occur;\n
\n
\n· Depending on FMCSA requirements, keep an electronic or paper log of their daily activities;\n
\n
\n*REQUIREMENTS:*\n
\n
\n· CDL-A license required;\n
\n
\n· High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required;\n
\n
\n· Two years verifiable over-the-road truck driving experience or a Graduate of a certified professional truck driving school is required;\n
\n
\n· General knowledge of FMCSA Rules and Regulations;\n
\n
\n· General knowledge of all other federal, state, local and customer rules and regulations;\n
\n
\n· Must be able to successfully pass a USDOT mandated pre-employment drug screen;\n
\n
\n· Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check;\n
\n
\n· Must be able to successfully pass a physical abilities test;\n
\n
\n· General knowledge of electronic logging and computerized dispatch/messaging devices;\n
\n
\n· Good communication skills as well as the ability to exercise good judgment;\n
\n
\n· Patience and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment with hazards and frequent distractions;\n
\n
\n· Motivated, self-starter and team player;\n
\n
\n· Maintain a strong desire to be a safe and productive member of the Lansberry Trucking, Inc. professional driver team.\n
