Job Description
A healthcare facility in Saint Charles, MO is seeking a knowledgeable Pharmacist to provide per diem coverage in an inpatient behavioral health setting. This role offers the opportunity to support a multidisciplinary team in delivering quality pharmaceutical care to patients during specified dates in early August.
Location
- Saint Charles, MO
Schedule/Hours
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid meal break
- Coverage needed on 8/6, 8/7, and from 8/10 to 8/14
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate dispensing and distribution of medications in an inpatient behavioral health environment
- Utilize Omnicell systems to manage medication inventory and repackaging processes
- Perform medication repackaging using systems such as Milt/Medi-dose or HCL
- Load drugs into automated dispensing machines and generate restock reports to maintain adequate supply levels
- Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to provide clinical pharmacy support tailored to patient needs
- Uphold compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Valid Missouri Pharmacist License required
- Experience with Omnicell automated dispensing systems strongly preferred
- Familiarity with medication repackaging techniques using Milt/Medi-dose or HCL systems is desirable
- Basic knowledge of automated drug loading and inventory management procedures
- Strong organizational and communication skills within a hospital pharmacy setting
