Job Description
Exciting opportunities await for an Occupational Therapist looking to provide impactful services to students in the Las Vegas, NV area! This contract-based, in-person position offers flexible part-time hours, with the possibility to increase to full-time based on your availability. You’ll work with PreK through 8th-grade students at two local sites, playing a vital role in fostering independence and success in an educational setting.
Your journey begins August 3rd with onboarding and preparation; the school year kicks off August 10th and extends through May 31, 2027. Shape interventions, collaborate with educators and families, and deliver comprehensive OT services that drive positive change in students’ academic and functional skills.
Requirements:
- Valid NV Occupational Therapy license or ability to obtain before the start date
- Experience or strong interest in school-based OT practice
- Background in pediatric, home health, or healthcare OT a plus
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to in-person service delivery
- Comfort supporting students from early childhood through middle school
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs and develop individualized intervention plans
- Deliver OT treatments as outlined in IEPs, tracking progress and documenting outcomes
- Consult with teachers, support staff, and families to generalize skills across settings
- Adapt learning materials and environments to meet students’ unique abilities
- Support students’ participation in daily school routines and activities
