Per Diem Immunizing Retail Staff Pharmacist | Tempe, Arizona

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Pharmacy professionals with retail experience are needed to form a per diem team of 2-3 pharmacists to provide reliable coverage for a busy pharmacy group in Tempe, AZ. Ideal candidates will have immunization privileges and BLS certification, and bring strong experience in retail pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide pharmacy services during coverage for vacations, call-outs, and volume spikes
• Support operations Monday through Saturday, typically 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with some locations open until 8 p.m.
• Maintain accuracy and quality in dispensing an average of 100-125 prescriptions per day
• Work collaboratively with a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, with some smaller sites requiring independent pharmacist-only operation
• Complete an 8-hour training shift with additional training opportunities as needed
• Use QS1 pharmacy software

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Arizona with no restrictions
• Immunization privilege and current BLS card required
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting preferred
• Comfortable working part-time schedules (2-4 days per week) on a per diem basis
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Work Environment and Schedule:

• Per diem position with no guaranteed hours
• Primarily located in Tempe and commutable areas around Phoenix, with limited travel to select locations
• Support from skilled pharmacy technician staff at most sites
