Key ResponsibilitiesAs an ER Nurse, you will be instrumental in developing and executing personalized care plans aimed at enhancing patient outcomes. Your role will involve leveraging your critical thinking abilities and sound judgment to operate effectively with minimal oversight. Your duties will encompass:
- Designing, implementing, and assessing patient care plans based on thorough evaluations.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure quality outcomes and seamless patient care coordination.
- Recognizing barriers to effective communication and providing suitable education to patients and their families.
- Delegating patient care tasks to support staff and mentoring student nurses and new team members.
- Ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards and infection control protocols.
- Demonstrating initiative and self-motivation while effectively managing time and responsibilities.
To excel in this position, you will need the following:
- A current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or a Compact license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or to be obtained within 90 days of hire).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or to be obtained within 6 months of hire).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification (or to be obtained within 1 year of hire).
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (or to be obtained within 1 year of hire).
- STABLE certification (or to be obtained within 1 year of hire).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (or to be obtained within 1 year of hire).
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- At least 1 year of experience in Emergency Department (ED) or Critical Care Nursing.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
This position involves working night shifts in a dynamic and demanding environment, requiring adaptability and resilience.
