This PRN Staff Pharmacist role provides critical support to a new specialty pharmacy operation serving hospice and palliative care patients in San Antonio, Texas. The pharmacist will cover day shifts on an as-needed basis to accommodate the Pharmacy-in-Charge’s vacation and time away schedule through the remainder of 2026. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a compassionate, patient-focused environment within a small, dedicated pharmacy team.

Location:

• San Antonio, Texas (local candidates preferred; no travel required)

Schedule:

• Day shift — as needed based on the PIC’s vacation and time away
• Specific hours to be determined with pharmacy schedule
• Training day provided before first coverage shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide seamless pharmacist coverage to support specialty infusion, hospice, and palliative care patient populations
• Collaborate with a small pharmacy team to ensure safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of medications
• Participate in training to become proficient with pharmacy operations prior to coverage assignments
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and uphold regulatory compliance

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active Texas Pharmacist license in good standing
• Specialty pharmacy or infusion pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• Hospice or palliative care pharmacy experience is a significant plus
• Ability to work effectively in a small team environment
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
• Reliable availability on a PRN basis through the end of 2026
• Local to San Antonio, Texas, with flexibility to start soon
