Job Summary
\nThe Ready-Mix Driver will be responsible for all duties of the position, including the transporting of freshly mixed concrete from the batch plant to the job site in a safe manner. This individual will be responsible for making normal operating adjustments to the equipment and material being hauled. We are seeking a candidate with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and great customer service skills.

\n$34.45 per hour
\nResponsibilities
\n- \n
- Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections \n
- Deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites \n
- Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely, obeying all traffic laws \n
- Clean and wash vehicle to include the removal of concrete buildup on all exterior parts of the mixer \n
- Must be willing to work according to customer demands \n
- Operate a radio to communicate with company personnel \n
- Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, state, and federal regulations \n
- Responsible for reporting all incidents/injuries to management as soon as they occur \n
- Attend safety meetings as scheduled by management \n
Education
\nHigh School Diploma/GED
\nRequirements/Qualifications
\n- \n
- Previous Ready-Mix driving experience required \n
- Must have current Commercial Class A or B driver's license with airbrakes and tank endorsement \n
- Safe driving record (will have to provide DMV H-6 printout) - no serious moving violations within the past 36 months; no more than two moving violations within the past 24 months \n
- Must have a current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate \n
- Ability to read a map and understand verbal and GPS driving route instructions \n
- Must have familiarity with slumps \n
- Good attendance and punctuality a must \n
- Ability to work in extremes of hot and cold weather \n
- Must have the physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, frequently lift extension chutes (up to 60 lbs.), stretch, drive/sit and shift gears \n
- Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, State, and Federal regulations \n
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary; overtime work, weekends and nights, may be required \n
Preferred:

- Experience in ready-mix or heavy construction industries \n
- 2+ years of commercial driving experience \n
Conditions of Employment
\nSuccessful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
