Supervising Pharmacy Manager - Delhi, New York

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity centers on leading a specialty pharmacy operation during a pivotal growth phase in Central and Upstate New York. The role begins with a hybrid remote work model based in Oneonta and transitions to a full onsite presence in Utica once the new specialty pharmacy location is completed and licensed. This position combines hands-on pharmacy management with strategic operational leadership in a specialty pharmacy setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the specialty pharmacy, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
• Lead and develop pharmacy staff to deliver exceptional patient care and medication management.
• Manage specialty medication dispensing, prior authorizations, and patient support activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize therapy outcomes across specialty disease states such as oncology, HIV, infusion therapies, and rare diseases.
• Prepare for and maintain specialty pharmacy accreditation standards, including URAC and ACHC.
• Facilitate a smooth transition from hybrid remote work to full onsite operations in the new Utica facility.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing.
• Proven specialty pharmacy experience is essential.
• Demonstrated leadership or management experience within a pharmacy setting.
• Familiarity with specialty pharmacy accreditation standards, with URAC and ACHC knowledge considered a strong advantage.
• Skilled in prior authorization processes and managing specialty medications.
• Experience with specialty disease states (oncology, HIV, infusion, rare disease) highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, providers, and pharmacy teams.
• Ability and willingness to work remotely initially and transition onsite once the Utica location is operational.

Location and Work Model:

• Initial location: Oneonta, NY — hybrid remote schedule.
• Future location: Utica, NY — full onsite upon new facility opening.
