We are currently recruiting for a Benefits Specialist job in High Point, NC to support the administration and delivery of employee benefits programs during a temporary leave coverage assignment. This role will serve as a key resource for employees, vendors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring the accurate administration of health and welfare, retirement, and leave-related benefits across a complex, fast-paced organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong benefits knowledge, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and compliance. We are looking for at least 3 years of experience in a benefits specific role! The successful candidate will be a hands-on benefits professional who can quickly establish credibility, independently manage day-to-day benefits operations, deliver a high level of employee service, and ensure seamless continuity during a leave coverage period. They will demonstrate strong technical expertise, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:
- Administer day-to-day employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, and voluntary benefits.
- Support employee benefits enrollment, eligibility changes, life event processing, and open enrollment activities.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefit plans, coverage, eligibility, and claims issues.
- Coordinate with third-party administrators, insurance carriers, and internal stakeholders to resolve benefits-related issues.
- Process and audit benefits transactions to ensure data accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with leave administration processes, partnering with employees, managers, and vendors as needed.
- Maintain employee benefits records within HRIS and benefits administration systems.
- Support payroll-related benefits reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare reports, analyze benefits data, and assist with compliance documentation and audits.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, FMLA, and related benefits legislation.
- Develop and update employee communication materials, benefit guides, and process documentation.
- Participate in benefits projects, vendor management activities, and process improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years of employee benefits administration experience in a corporate environment.
- Working knowledge of health and welfare plans, retirement plans, leave administration, and benefits compliance regulations.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms and benefits administration systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting benefits programs for large, multi-site or global organizations.
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), SHRM, PHR, or related certification.
- Experience with benefits audits, vendor management, and open enrollment administration.
- Knowledge of Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or similar HRIS platforms.
